Mostar

Mostar is a city located in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina, known for its old city center, cultural diversity and the legendary Old Bridge that stretches over the Neretva River.
The Old Town of Mostar is the center of the city and the location of some of the most important tourist attractions. This part of the city is characterized by narrow, stone-paved streets, Ottoman-style buildings and traditional souvenir shops and restaurants. The most famous symbol of the Old Town is the Old Bridge, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture, which was rebuilt after it was destroyed in the war in the 1990s.
Mostar is known for its cultural diversity and rich history. The city was under Ottoman rule for more than 400 years, and then under the rule of Austria-Hungary. This led to a unique fusion of East and West in the city's culture, architecture and cuisine. You can also see traces of the Second World War and the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which had a great impact on the city and its inhabitants.
Mostar is known for its excellent food, such as traditional ćevapi and burek, which are a must for any visitor who wants to experience authentic Bosnian cuisine. You can also find various other Bosnian specialties, such as beans and sarma.
In addition, Mostar offers other attractions such as the Museum of Herzegovina, which shows life in Mostar in the past, the Museum of War Childhood, which is dedicated to children who grew up in the war, and the Old Bridge Museum, which tells about the history and construction of the Old Bridge.
Mostar is also an ideal place for trips to the surrounding natural areas, such as the green Neretva River, which is popular for rafting, canoeing and other water sports, and the Blagajsko tekija, a beautiful 16th-century Sufi tekija located on the Buna River not far from Mostar.
