Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is one of the most famous and popular tourist cities in Croatia, located on the southern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The city is known for its rich history, architecture, cultural events and crystal clear sea.
Dubrovnik has a historic center that is surrounded by walls from the 13th century, up to 25 meters high, which stretch for about 2 kilometers. In the center of the city is Stradun, the main street in Dubrovnik, which is full of restaurants, cafes and shops. On the other side of Stradun are narrow, picturesque streets, squares and palaces, which create the impression that time has stopped.
Dubrovnik has accessible beaches, including the popular Banje and Copacabana beaches, which attract visitors for their white sand and crystal clear sea. Dubrovnik is famous for its festivals, such as the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and the Libertas Film Festival, which take place during the summer and attract artists and cultural enthusiasts from all over the world.
Dubrovnik is known as the backdrop of the popular series "Game of Thrones", in which it appears as the fictitious city "King's Landing". Visitors can see the locations where some of the series' most famous scenes were filmed and walk around the city walls that also appeared in the series.
For those interested in history, Dubrovnik offers plenty of museums and sights. Among them are the church of St. Blaise, a cathedral from the 18th century, Franciscan and Dominican monasteries, as well as museums such as the Museum of Contemporary History, the Museum of the Homeland War and the Museum of Dubrovnik Libraries.
Dubrovnik is also an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, including the island of Lokrum, which is known for its untouched nature, botanical garden and beautiful beaches. Excursions to other famous places in the region, such as Ston and Pelješac, known for their vineyards and wine cellars, can also be organized.
